Templates keep their fixed prices. When you save a quote via “Save as template”, the template records which prices you set by hand – so they do not snap back to the catalogue price on the next recalculation (for example after a changed guest count). Until now exactly that information was lost as soon as you opened the template under Settings → Templates and saved it – even if you only changed its name. The same applied to internal notes, storage location, customer visibility and buffet compositions of a position. From now on all of that survives editing. Templates you edited in Settings before this update are best re-saved once from the quote.
Copied events only bring the current quote version. If you reworked a quote via “New version”, the old version stays on the event as cancelled. When copying the event, every one of those versions used to land in the copy as its own draft – two quotes with the same name, one of them the outdated state. Now only the current version comes along. Cancelled or rejected quotes without a successor are still copied; the “Quotes” checkbox in the copy dialog lets you leave them out as before.
Tip: events that repeat every week
For an event that takes place regularly in the same form, Copy on the event detail page is the shortest route: pick the new date, “Create copy” – quote, schedule, shifts, tasks and contributors are there, you only adjust dishes and guest count. An event template brings tasks, schedule and team but no quote; a finance document template brings only the quote. More in the help article “Create an event with the creation wizard”.
