Calendar: Month, Week & Day
After reading this article you can switch the events calendar and the inquiries calendar between month, week and day, move through busy weeks with ease, and spot events that are not yet confirmed at a glance.
The calendar no longer shows your events by month only: you can switch to a week or a day view at any time. This helps especially when a single week is packed with events and the month cells get too small.
Switching between month, week and day
- Open Events and pick the Calendar view in the top right.
- At the top of the calendar you'll find the Month · Week · Day switch. Click the level you want.
- Use Previous/Next (the arrows) to move by a month, a week or a day depending on the level. Today jumps back to the current period.
- In month view you can also use the month/year picker to jump straight to a specific month.
- In week view the seven days sit side by side, each with much more room for that day's events.
- The day view shows a single day at full width.
Tip: Your last chosen view is remembered – jump into an event and back and you land on the same zoom level.
Create an event from the calendar
A double-click on a day creates a new event on that date – in month, week and day view alike.
Spotting events that aren't confirmed yet
Events that are still “Planned” show up in the calendar with a striped fill instead of a solid color — no matter which color the event otherwise has. That way you can tell at a glance which dates on the calendar are not yet finally confirmed. Hovering a striped event shows the same explanation right on the bar.
The small legend below the calendar only appears if striped events can occur in your workspace at all. If you renamed the “Planned” status, you will not see a legend – that is not an error. Otherwise it stays there permanently, even in months without a single striped event.
The stripes only appear for the default status “Planned”. If you renamed that status, it carries your own meaning in your workspace – the bars then stay solid so that nothing is wrongly read as still open.
Inquiries too
The calendar in the Inquiries area has the same month / week / day switch. Rejected inquiries stay hidden there as usual, unless you filter for them on purpose.
